Aah July, summer should be kicking in about now with temperatures rising and everything looking that bit more brighter and colourful... except it’s not. You know the old phrase ‘four seasons in one day’? Yep, never a truer word has been said! What kind of a world do we live in when the weather tricks us into leaving the house without a jacket in the morning and then proceeds to chuck it down so that we’re left cowering in shop doorways waiting for the inevitable calm before it starts all over again, two minutes later! Excuse me while I lie down in a darkened room...

Apart from being drenched this month, we’ve been busy at Step Towers, working on several websites and creating lovely echos for clients. But what else has been happening I hear you say...
We’ve been working with the Business Organisations and Recruitment sectors for the past wee while and we’d love to talk to decision makers in these areas who are interested in how their marketing material can work for them. This could be in branding, exhibition banners, corporate brochures, e-marketing etc… If you know someone who fits the bill, do pass on our details and/or let Julie know at julie@39stepsstudio.com,
tel: +44 (0)131 220 3851.
Julie’s hair looks a right mess as she’s been changing hats left right and centre from promoting the mini-but-mighty 39steps to the dynamic JCI Edinburgh, at everything from awards dinners to power lunches. Phew!
Lewis has been spending a lot of time on Leith Waterworld’s flumes and found time to hang a mirror.
Waseem is looking for a house in North Edinburgh. The ESPC website is his new best friend. Look out for him traipsing through a house near you soon commenting ‘Why aren’t rooms in new-builds that bit bigger?’
Another 39steps creation has now been let loose around the streets of Edinburgh. See if you can spot our Mini livery for Wannaburger around town!

There really only had to be one film to see this month and it would need to be pretty darn special to upstage the blastfest that is Die Hard 4. From the spine-tingling teaser trailers that were released some months ago this has been building up to fever pitch and the wait will soon be over. People of a certain age will know what I mean, we’re all suckers for nostalgia and it doesn’t come better than this (unless they decide to make a Dungeons & Dragons movie!). Transformers, robots in disguise... locked in war the Autobots (good guys) and the Decepticons (bad guys) bring their battle to earth with the future of mankind hanging in the balance, with one side aiming to protect and the other side looking to destroy. It’s not all hunks of metal though with Hollywood’s young up and coming new stars, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, adding a human perspective to the ensuing chaos. Classic good vs evil territory wrapped up in sexy futuristic CGI, even Bruce himself would give a wry smile and say ‘Yipeekiyay...’
